Full Description
An excavation in 1991 by the Sheppey Archaeological Society at Falcon Gardens, possibly No.7, uncovered an assemblage of ceramic and small finds dating to around the mid-7th to mid-9th century including imported wares associated with a ditch possibly connected with the early medieval Minster Abbey (TQ 97 SE 1). The finds included imported Ipswich and continental wares, copper alloy pins, glass vessels and an 8th century coin. No further information on the site or any features found. (1-2)
