Abstract/Summary
Thirty-one trenches were dug on the site of the proposed Ellington Girl's School. Twenty were found to contain archaeological features. These features included pits, post-holes ditches and a single cremation burial. There seem to have been two areas of activity or settlement. The majority of the features date to the late bronze age-early iron age although flint artefacts dating to the later neolithic were also.
