Abstract/Summary
A total of 93 trial trenches were dug to a cumulative length of 1860m, providing a 3-4% sample of the 9.66ha site. Twenty seven archaeological features were discovered and recorded and a number of trenches were extended as a contingency measure. There was a background scatter of flints across the entire evaluated area, but a notable concentration of mesolithic material in one part of the site was evident. This grouping corresponded to a cluster of undated archaeological features. Some evidence of medieval agricultural activity was also located.
