Abstract/Summary

An archaeological watching brief undertaken during the underpinning and refacing of the retaining wall in front of the Unitarian Church adjacent to York Street in Dover. Flint blades from the mesolithic,neolithic and bronze age. Also there were Roman deposits observed. Medieval and post medieval walling fabric was observed within the existing wall.
