Monument record TR 03 NW 137 - Late Iron Age / early Romano-British land division, Cheeseman's Green Area 3 (west)

Summary

An programme of archaeological work carried out from 2004 to 2016 found evidence of late Iron Age / Romano-British enclosures in Area 3 (west). Four ditches orientated WNW–ESE appeared to define an enclosure at least 60 m wide and adjacent trackway. Several ditches contained late Iron Age / early Romano-British pottery. Other features of unknown date were also found including two cremation burials.
