Summary

Strip, map and sample excavations in 2014 found a a series of ditches that defined enclosures in Area 10 (west). The enclosures were on a NE-SW and NW-SE axis. Pottery from ditch terminals dated to the late Iron Age / early Romano-British period. A number of other features were found that could not be dated but were probably broadly contemporary with the field system. These included pits and a possible animal shelter or windbreak.
