During an archaeological investigation ahead of the development of land to the north of Cliffsend Road, Cliffsend a group of middle to later Bronze age features were uncovered, including a trackway/droveway and further ditches which defines another field system. This later field system differed from the middle Bronze Age field system in that the fields were larger and there were fewer of them.

The substantial track/droveway was aligned north to south across the centre of the western part of the site. The route varied considerably in internal width between 3.5m and 7m and had a smaller east to west trackway entering at the southern end of the site. The deepest portions of both ditches were near vertically-sided with flat bases and are very similar in form to a palisade ditch identified on EKA2. This was phased to the Late Bronze Age although it contained few finds and was not securely dated. The field system stretched across the entire excavation area, forming an aggrandised rectilinear field system, aligned with the trackway. The fields were accessed by wide entrances and connected by numerous tracks, c 2m wide formed by paired ditches. Scattered throughout the field system was a series of, mostly small, pits containing relatively few finds. Some of the field system ditches could be matched with features previously excavated in Zone 26 of EKA2 to the immediate west. (information summarised from source)
