Summary
Grade II listed building. Main construction periods 1740 to 1974 Holland House was built at Kingsgate in 1755-1765 and fell into ruins at the end of the 18th century. The facade of the present buildings date from 1840-1850 and are Grade II listed. Marked as a Coastguard Station on the Ordnance Survey historic maps c.1858-1940. The Drury map of 1769 indicates that a formal garden was laid out on the landward side of the house.
