Full Description

In 2011 the Trust for Thanet Archaeology carried out an evaluation. Pits, gullies, a ditch and a possible trackway were found across the northern and western part of the site. A cremation burial, a possible cremation burial and a possible inhumation were also found. The cremation burial was in a large vessel. Pottery from the features dated from the 1st to the 3rd centuries AD. Further pottery of this date was found in the upper fills of a Late Neolithic/Early Bronze Age barrow ring ditch. (1)
