During an archaeological evaluation in August 2015 a total of 48 trenches were excavated. Only 28 trenches contained archaeological features. In the southern extent of site a number of undated features were uncovered. These included ditches, linear features, post/stake holes and pits. It is suggested that a number of these may be prehistoric in date; however the absence of datable material means this cannot be verified.
