Abstract/Summary

‘This report deals with a number of archaeological interventions undertaken during an extensive programme of restoration, repair and rebuilding at Errol House, 68, Stour Street, Canterbury. This important town house, situated at the eastern junction of Adelaide Place and Stour Street is a Grade 2 Listed Building and occupies the site of a Scheduled Ancient Monument (Kent 350), designated following the discovery of parts of a Roman Temple Precinct in ground between Castle Street, Stour Street and Adelaide Place between 1975 and 1981 (Bennett 1980; 1981).’
