Archaeological work from 2004 to 2016 across the Cheeseman's Green Area 4 (south) found evidence of fields, enclosures and possible trackways. These could not be dated but are probably broadly contemporary with other later prehistoric field systems in the areaand extended into Area 4 (north). In Area 4 (south) the features were accompanied by an early bronze age cremation, ditches and gullies from the late bronze age to early Romano-British periods, probable late bronze age / Romano-British round houses and granary structures, pits and cremation burials.
