Summary
Archaeological work from 2004 to 2016 across the Cheeseman's Green area found in Area 5 a large number of features dated to the late Iron Age / early Romano-British period. A large subrectangular ditched feature at its eastern end, and a number of field or enclosure ditches. Structures were also evident with curving gullies representing the remains of two possible round-houses. A possible four-post granary-type structure was also identified.
