Abstract/Summary
An archaeological watching brief was maintained by Canterbury Archaeological Trust on the geotechnical work being undertaken in Dover during April 2015 as a preliminary to the major new town centre redevelopment. Useful new information regarding the archaeology of this part of the historic town, together with palaeo-environmental data relating to the ancient estuary of the river Dour, was recorded. This supplements previous information recovered from the region. The very good potential for detailed palaeo-environmental research in the area was hilighted.
