Amended description following Phase 1 of the South East Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey:
A military stores yard which was part of Richborough Port (MWX43487), a major WWI port serving allied troops on the Western Front. The facility appears to have become disused after WWI as the site is empty and grassed-over on RAF vertical aerial photographs taken during WWII [2]. These photographs show faint lines in the ground which may be remnants of features associated with the stores [2].
