[Area TR 344698] Cropmarks of ring ditches ('A' - TR 34366989 and 'B'- TR 34416973), sub-circular enclosure ('C' - TR 34346975) and linear features. (1) Nothing visible in a ploughed field. (2) TR 344698 and TR 344699 located to the nearest fifty metres. Cropmarks, Bronze Age barrows. Site no 39 & 41. (3) TR 34406974. Linear feature bending around ring ditches. Ring ditches situated at TR 34406974, TR 34366988, TR 34426976, TR 34406971, TR 34436967, TR 34466966. Ovate enclosure at TR 34326976 (1). (4)

Ahead of proposed development of the site a limited evaluation and fieldwalking/metal-detectoring survey took place in 1986. The evaluation produced no archaeological remains, however the survey recovered a number of metal finds including several pieces of bronze and part of the blade of a socketed late bronze age axe.(TR 36 NW 420). These finds may be directly connected with this site. (6)

In 1991 an evaluation took place sampling the two circular cropmarks within the field. The trenches found little evidence of what may have caused the cropmarks and it is believed that wind erosion and heavy ploughing over the years has destroyed these features as prehistoric finds, as well as Roman, medieval and post-medieval, were found in the topsoil.(7)

The cropmark remains of four of the above mentioned ring ditches and linear ditch have been recorded from aerial photographs (CUCAP YH22 16-JUN-1959 and NMR 2176/046 03-AUG-1984) and mapped as part of the mapped as part of the Historic England Thanet Landscape Mapping Project 2024. These are now recorded separately in child records to this main parent. (8-9)
